TANNING TIPS

Pre Spray Tan

Please exfoliate prior to your tan. You want to remove all dead skin so your tan looks as even as possible. It is best to exfoliate the day/night prior to your spray tan.

Where possible, always shave or wax at least 24 hours prior to a spray tan appointment, as hair removal after a spray tan will remove the tan.

Day of your spray tan

Avoid using deodorant, perfume or any creams/moisturisers before your spray tan appointment as it will provide a barrier to the spray tan's absorption.

You can wear makeup to the appointment if you prefer, and we can provide you with baby wipes to clean your face prior to the spray tan.

Remove your jewelry. Rings and Earrings are okay if you don’t mind them possibly having some tanning solution touch them. We advise to take the jewelry off so that you do not have any tan lines visible.

Choose a bikini or underwear that you don’t mind being sprayed or stained.

We offer disposable g-strings to wear during your spray tan, please advise your tanner if you would like to use these.

Wear loose clothing after your spray tan. Try to avoid wearing a bra or tight clothes as this will make your spray tan uneven and possibly rub off leaving you with patches and an uneven tan.

Try to avoid activities that will cause excessive perspiring such as sports/gym for 8 hours after your tan.

Spray tan aftercare

Rinse off your spray tan with water only. When showering off your spray tan, you may notice the water colouring, but don't freak out. It's just the bronzer washing off, not your actual tan.

After a shower, try to gently pat your skin dry and avoid vigorous rubbing when towel drying.

Your tan will continue to develop and process.

Moisturise daily! if you can, twice daily morning and night to keep your skin nourished and hydrated. This will prolong your tan and keep your tan nice and even.

It is recommended that you limit the amount you shave after your spray tan, as shaving is a form of exfoliation and may remove your tan.

Tanning tips

A spray tan does not contain SPF! You still need to use SUNSCREEN with SPF on a daily basis or whilst in the sun to avoid sunburn and skin damage.

Try to use natural and/or organic shower gels, body washes and moisturisers. Other types contain Parabens, SLS, Alcohol, Toxins, and Nasties that may strip your natural oils and may cause an uneven tan.

Your face will always be the first area to fade, simply because you wash it more frequently.

Remember to moisturise every day!
